I realized this week-end that it has been a while since I have updated my webpage. I apologize for that. I am unsure if it is a helpful resource to parents or not. I would really like parents to let me know. I am willing to update it weekly if you wish so that you can know exactly what I will be teaching. Please let me know if this is something you would like me to do.

I am sending home a letter about some things you can work on with your student. Some parents have asked me what they can do. Hopefully the note will help. Here are the suggestions from that note:

1.       Letter names and the sound they make.

2.       Letter formation.  ***Please check my website on the proper way to print. It is important that students print the proper way because then cursive is easier later.

3.       Number, color, and shape recognition.

4.       Counting to 100.

5.       Sight words. ***Please check my website for these too. Also, reading the little books that come home will help. Keep them in a shoe box and read them often.

6.       Rhyming.

7.       Coloring, not scribbling, and using scissors.
